This Disclaimer applies to your use of PropKeep (propkeep.ca). It should be read with our Terms of Service.
1. Marketplace role
PropKeep is a neutral online marketplace that connects property owners with independent workers and service professionals. We provide software for discovery, scheduling, messaging, reviews, and payment facilitation. We are not the employer of Workers, and Workers are not our employees, partners, or agents for performing on-site work. Owners and Workers contract with each other for the services described in a booking; PropKeep is not a party to that service relationship except as a platform and payment facilitator.
2. No professional advice
Information on PropKeep—including help articles, dashboards, earnings or tax summaries, policy pages, and automated messages—is for general information only. It is not legal, financial, tax, accounting, insurance, or other professional advice. The Worker tax summary (if shown) is an informational estimate of platform-reported earnings and is not an official tax slip (for example a T4A). Consult a qualified professional for your situation.
3. Independent contractors and work quality
Workers are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of their work; for their tools, transportation, and insurance; and for compliance with local laws, licensing, and tax obligations. Ratings, reviews, verification badges, and background-related signals reflect information available to the platform at a point in time and are not a warranty or guarantee of any outcome, identity, or future performance.
Owners are responsible for accurate property descriptions, lawful instructions, and providing reasonably safe access for booked work.
4. Third-party services and content
Maps, geocoding, identity providers, email, SMS, payments, hosting, and similar features may rely on third-party providers. Links, embeds, or redirects to third-party sites are for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.
5. "As is" and availability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PropKeep is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PropKeep and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service or from interactions, acts, or omissions of Owners or Workers.
To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the platform fees you paid to us for the bookings giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim, or (b) one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100), except where prohibited by law.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection or other mandatory law.
7. User diligence
You are responsible for evaluating Workers or Owners before engaging, verifying access arrangements, and complying with your own legal obligations. Report safety or policy concerns through the product or our contact form.
