2. How we use cookies
We keep cookie use to what is needed to run the Service securely and remember basic preferences.
Essential / authentication
- Session and authentication cookies set by our sign-in stack (NextAuth / identity providers) so you stay securely signed in.
- Security tokens that help protect against cross-site request forgery and session abuse.
Without these, you cannot sign in or use your dashboard.

- Limited UI preferences (for example dismissing an onboarding checklist) stored locally on your device.
First-party analytics
When the site is hosted on Vercel, we use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate page views and referrals. It is designed as privacy-friendly, first-party analytics (not an advertising network profile that follows you across unrelated sites).
3. What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels for ads, or third-party analytics profiles designed to follow you across unrelated websites.
4. Third-party cookies
When you sign in with a third-party identity provider (for example Google), that provider may set its own cookies under its domain according to its policies. Payment, maps, or similar embeds—if enabled—may also set cookies required for their function. Review those providers' policies for details.
5. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential authentication cookies will prevent login and normal use of PropKeep. Preference cookies can usually be cleared without affecting security, though you may see the cookie notice again or need to reselect language.
6. Updates
We may update this policy when our cookie practices change. The "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly.
